A new building block or intermediate for the synthesis of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflamatory drugs). This is an in-house synthesis and is readily available from stock in gram quantities. ADT-OH is a derivative of anethole dithiolethione (ADT) and synthetic hydrogen sulfide (H2S) donor. ADT is a putative neuroprotectant and antioxidant that increases glutathione levels in cultured astroglial cells. ADT-OH was shown to reduce tPA-enhanced Akt activation and VEGF expression in brain microvascular endothelial cells. Rose welcomes inquiries about the availability of much larger quantities or chemicals that are not yet part of its regular catalog.
